So many people assume that it is always cheaper to stay on land than to cruise. During a recent holiday to Miami, I found that this wasn’t the case at all. By the time I had worked out the transport + accommodation costs it was cheaper for me to cruise.

Below is a quick price comparison of a week spent on land vs a week spent on a cruise ship. Of course, if you are the type who back packs around and stays in hostels it isn’t going to be cheaper for you to cruise. If you are like me though, it just might be.

One site which I’ve managed to find some cool cruise deals on before is cruiseville.co.uk, they have a handy feature where you can sort by price per night and have tons of cruises under £50 per person per night. I’m sure I can eat that amount just in food per day! They also have a cabin price monitoring feature which is really cool (the maths grad in me loves graphs).
